Fitting new energy-efficient PVCu windows is widely recognised as one of the best ways to cut heating bills, but people who have the work carried out are often still surprised by how much of a difference it makes.
We installed 14 new windows at a house in Skelmanthorpe close to Huddersfield in August 2013 and were recently contacted by the homeowners to say how pleased they were with the results.
The old windows were a mixture of single glazed and wood-framed double glazed, and we replaced them with energy-efficient glass and PVCu coloured window frames that were rosewood on the outside and foiled white on the inside.
Our customers said the new windows “look fantastic”, but it was the other benefits that really delighted them.
“What we didn't realise was the impact these would have on our energy bills - it’s now the end of January and we still haven't had our heating on in a morning,” they said.
“The house feels so much warmer now it's unbelievable!”
At Lockwood Windows, we do everything possible to supply the most energy-efficient window systems to our customers and help them to make big savings on their heating bills.
We do this by using the best-quality glazing and multi-chambered frames with excellent thermal performance, which also benefit from a number of key security features such as multi-point locking systems, internal beading and shoot bolts.
